Ambulance stopped by TN cop for Chief Minister’s convoy

In yet another incident of VVIP apathy, an ambulance was stopped by police to make way for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s convoy. The Chief Minister was reportedly coming from the airport.

The video of the incident shows police officers stopping an ambulance to allow Palaniswami’s convoy pass through a busy street.

“Let the ambulance go” said a motorist but the traffic police did not pay heed. “Why should we wait for the CM to give interviews at airport,” the angry motorist was heard saying.

A traffic police officer deployed at Bengaluru’s Trinity Circle made way for an ambulance, halting the convoy of the President of India.

In Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has issued orders not to stop ambulances to make way for his convoy. This happened after an ambulance was stuck in jam because police stopped traffic to allow Siddaramaiah’s convoy pass.

Meanwhile, in Haryana, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader stopped an ambulance for half an hour after it hit his car. The delay reportedly caused the death of a patient.
