Suzuki has taken the wraps off the electric version of Burgman scooter overseas and has disclosed most of its specifications as well. Christened the e-Burgman, the two-wheeler’s test mule has been spotted multiple times in India.
Now with the Indian market widely accepting electric mobility and mainstream manufacturers like Bajaj and TVS on the bandwagon, it won’t be long before the e-Burgman makes its way to our country.
The e-Burgman looks similar to the Burgman Street 125 available in India with a change in paint scheme to symbolize the e-Burgman’s EV identity.
The e-Burgman comes with a 4.0kW motor with max torque rated at 18Nm. However, it is interesting to note that it will feature a swappable battery pack. The claimed range from the system stands at 44 kilometres, subject to the condition that it is ridden at a speed of 60 kmph. These figures are based on the brand’s internal testing only.
The e-Burgman is still in the testing phase and it’s too early to comment on its exact launch timeline in India
