Odysse Electric Vehicles has introduced its second electric motorcycle, named the Odysse Vader, which is equipped with a 4bhp electric motor and is priced from INR 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad). The Vader has a design similar to a naked motorcycle of 150-200cc, such as the Bajaj Pulsar, but with an electric motor housed in a boxy structure.
The Vader has an ordinary appearance, featuring LED lighting, a headlamp cowl, alloy wheels, and body graphics, and is available in five colours: midnight blue, fiery red, glossy black, venom green, and misty grey. The Vader offers 18 litres of storage space and a 7-inch Android screen that provides phone connectivity via Bluetooth, Google map navigation, and integrated music apps. Additionally, the EV motorcycle has IoT capabilities via a mobile app that allow for monitoring, geofencing, and even immobilization of the scooter.
The display, which is rated IP67, has three design themes to choose from and supports OTA updates. Because of the state’s subsidies, the Vader is eligible for the FAME-II subsidy, and the EV motorcycle can be reserved for INR 999 online on Odysse’s website or at their dealers, with prices beginning at INR 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom Ahmedabad) and INR 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
