A couple of years ago, Mahindra Electric launched its first electric three-wheeler called the Treo. Now, it’s come out with a cargo variant of that called the Treo Zor at Rs. 2.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) after FAME 2 and state subsidies.

In addition to that, it also has the best-in-class tray loading height of 675 mm and a maximum payload carrying capacity of 550 kg. You can opt for either a delivery van, pickup or flatbed variants of the Treo Zor.

The 3-wheeler is powered by an 8 kW IP67 rated electric motor that generates 42 Nm and is mated to an automatic transmission. It comes with a lithium-ion battery that the company claims, offers a driving range of 125 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged using a 15 amp socket.

Mahindra Electric claims that the new e-three wheeler vehicle offers savings of over ₹60,000 a year, compared to the existing diesel cargo 3-wheelers, owing to its low maintenance cost. The company claims that the EV can run at just 40 paise per km.

On the features front, it gets a telematics unit, GPS tracking, lockable glove box, a 12 V socket and reverse buzzer.

Mahindra Electric provides a standard warranty of 3 years/80,000 km.
