Kabira Mobility, a Goa-based start-up, has announced the launch of two new high-speed electric bikes, the KM3000 and KM4000. The KM3000 has peak power of 6 kW (around 8 bhp) and is priced at ₹ 1,26,990 (Ex-showroom), while the KM4000 has peak power of 8 kW (around 11 bhp) and is priced at ₹ 1,36,990 (Ex-showroom).
The KM3000 has a top speed of 100 kmph, while the KM4000 has a top speed of 120 kmph. Deliveries for the bikes will begin from May 2021. Bookings for both bikes will begin from February 20, 2021, and the bikes will be initially available in 9 cities, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa and Dharwad.
The KM3000 has a claimed peak power of 6,000W and weighs 138kg. Weighing 147kg, the KM4000 is claimed to have a maximum power of 8,000W. According to Kabira Mobility, the electric bikes can be charged in two modes — Eco and Boost. The battery can be fully juiced-up in six-and-a-half hours in the Eco mode, while an 80 per cent charge can be achieved in 50 minutes in the Boost mode. The battery pack is fireproof.
The KM3000’s design is inspired by a sports bike. On the other hand, the KM4000 is based on a naked bike. The electric motorcycles can touch a top speed of 120kmph and have a riding range of 150km on a single charge. They are equipped with features like the combined braking system and park assist.
