Tata Motors launched the Tiago EV at an introductory price of INR 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line variant of the Tiago EV is priced at INR11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The bookings for the Tiago EV will commence on October 10. The deliveries of the vehicle will commence next year in January. Tata Motors has reserved 2,000 units of the maiden 10,000 units of the Tiago EV, which will be offered at introductory prices, for the existing Nexon EV and Tigor EV owners. The new Tata Tiago EV is available with two different battery packs -- 19.2kWh and 24kWh. While the 19.2kWh variant gets a 3.3kW AC charging option, the 24kWh variant has 3.3kW AC and 7.2kW AC charging options. Tata Motors has launched the iCNG-powered Tiago and Tigor. The Tata Tiago CNG's price starts from Rs 6.09 lakh, while the Tigor CNG has been priced from Rs 7.69 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). Tata Motors is looking to add new variants to Tiago and Tigor range in India. TML is currently readying the CNG versions of its popular hatchback and subcompact sedan. The company has already initiated public road tests of the CNG-powered Tiago and Tigor. Both the test mules were captured on camera at a CNG filling station. Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC) has showcased the Tiago EV concept at an event at Millbrook. The Tiago EV is expected to make it to India soon as the pictures suggest the car is nearing its production stage. The Tiago EV does  0-100 kph in about 11 seconds in sport mode and is capable of a top speed of 135 kph. Power is delivered by an 85 kW motor that churns out 200 Nm of torque. The EV is offered with front wheel drive and does not have a gearbox -will be driven through a single-speed gearbox. It will also deliver a claimed range of 100 km on one full electric charge.
