Skoda Kodiaq updated with new BS6 Phase 2 emissions standards. Comes with a price tag of INR 37.99 lakh.

Skoda India has launched an updated version of its 7-seater Kodiaq SUV to comply with the new BS6 Phase 2 norms. The base model now starts at INR 37.99 lakh, which is INR 50,000 more expensive than the previous version. Skoda has also increased the Kodiaq's allocation for India by over 50 percent and will import it through the CKD route and assemble it at its Aurangabad plant. Although the Kodiaq continues to use the same 2-liter, turbo-petrol engine as its predecessor, Skoda has made some modifications to meet new emissions regulations. The production-spec Skoda Kushaq has finally made its world premiere. Previewed by the Vision IN concept, the midsize SUV is the first model to arrive from the VW Group’s India 2.0 project. BS6 Skoda Rapid TSI launched. Prices start INR 7.49 lakh

Skoda has launched the 2020 Rapid 1.0 TSI with prices starting at Rs 7.49 lakh and going up to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). This is the first BS6 Skoda car to have been launched. Skoda’s compact sedan is now powered by the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol TSI engine that has an output of 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. It is offered with the choice of a 6-speed manual or a new 6-speed automatic transmission. This replaces the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. It is the same powertrain that is offered in its sister model, the BS6 Volkswagen Vento. The BS6 Rapid does not offer the quick-shifting DSG (dual-clutch automatic) option anymore like the VW.
