Skoda has officially unveiled the Slavia mid-size sedan in India. The Slavia is based on the MQB A0 IN platform shared with the Kushaq. Pre-bookings are now open and deliveries will commence in Q1 2022.
Slavia is the second major model from the Czech brand and third overall to be launched under the India 2.0 project initiated by the Skoda-Volkswagen India Group. Like Kushaq, Slavia will also be underpinned by a heavily localised MQB A0 IN architecture which would lead up to 95 percent of localisation in the upcoming sedan.
At 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width, 1,487 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm the Slavia is larger than the first-gen Octavia.

Skoda has launched the Kushaq in the Indian market. It is Skoda’s first made in India and made for India product. Skoda Kushaq India production begins. Launch soon
Skoda has begun production of the Kushaq SUV at its Chakan plant. The Kushaq is Skoda's first product under the Volkswagen Group's India 2.0 plan. Price announcement for the Kushaq is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

Skoda has launched the 2020 Rapid 1.0 TSI with prices starting at Rs 7.49 lakh and going up to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). This is the first BS6 Skoda car to have been launched.
Skoda’s compact sedan is now powered by the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol TSI engine that has an output of 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. It is offered with the choice of a 6-speed manual or a new 6-speed automatic transmission. This replaces the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. It is the same powertrain that is offered in its sister model, the BS6 Volkswagen Vento. The BS6 Rapid does not offer the quick-shifting DSG (dual-clutch automatic) option anymore like the VW.
