2021 Mustang Mach 1 to debut with 5.0-liter V-8 engine
Ford has finally confirmed it will bring back the Mach 1 nameplate to the Mustang lineup. Set to debut in Spring 2021, the Mach 1 will be powered by Ford's 5.0-liter V-8 powertrain.
Ford has yet to release any specifications on the car this time, suggesting only that it will fall between the V-8-powered Mustang GT and hardcore, track-ready Shelby variants in the car's trim lineup.
For the past two years, the special-edition Mustang Bullitt has bridged the gap between the GT and Shelby models, but now that spot will be taken by the Mach 1. The Mach 1 will be more track-ready compared to the Bullitt.
