Jaguar I-Pace launched in India at INR 1.06 crore

Jaguar has launched the I-Pace ; the first all-electric offering by the carmaker in India. It has been priced from Rs 1.06 crore for the base S trim and goes up to Rs 1.12 crore for the top-spec HSE trim (ex-showroom, India). The Jaguar I-Pace is available in three trim levels in India - S, SE, and HSE. The I-Pace comes with two electric motors that produce a combined 400hp and 696Nm of torque. Jaguar claims the 2.2-tonne electric SUV can do the 0-100kph sprint in 4.8sec, and go on to hit a top speed of 200kph. Jaguar has equipped the all-electric I-Pace with a 90kWh battery. Over 8000 units of Jaguar XF recalled in China

Jaguar Land Rover will recall 8,952 vehicles in China due to defective airbags. The recall was filed by Jaguar Land Rover China to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. Starting from January 19, the company will recall 8,952 imported 2013 Jaguar XF vehicles manufactured between June 19, 2012 and October 1, 2013, according to the administration. Gas generators of the airbags may break when airbags open, which will lead to injury to passengers, states report. The automaker will check all the affected vehicles and replace defective parts free of charge.
