Harley-Davidson X440 Roadster unveiled. First bike to come from Harley – Hero MotoCorp partnership

Harley-Davidson has revealed its highly anticipated X440 model, designed specifically for the Indian market in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp. The X440 is expected to be the most affordable Harley-Davidson ever manufactured. The dominant feature of the front design is the large round LED headlamp, accompanied by LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and LED turn indicators. Atop the headlamp rests a single-pod instrument console that is equipped with a TFT display. The tail section of the motorcycle draws inspiration from the iconic flat-trackers of Harley-Davidson's revered history. In line with this theme, the X440 boasts a flat handlebar mounted on risers. Harley-Davidson has been having a rough time in India. In September, 2020 Harley-Davidson had announced that it has wrapped up its sales and manufacturing operations in India. In fact, Harley was evaluating options to retain its presence in India under the company’s new business strategy. As of October 27, 2020, Harley and Hero have officially teamed up. Because it’s a partnership, there’s something in it to benefit both parties. Under the terms of this new agreement, Hero will use its vast network to both sell and service completely built-up (CBU) Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Harley-Davidson has finally announced its new dedicated electric bicycle brand known as Serial 1 Cycle Company.  The stunning new electric bike that it says will go on sale in March 2021. For now, the company is showing off its first prototype model. The name Serial 1 is a reference to “Serial Number One,” the nickname for Harley-Davidson’s oldest known motorcycle built in 1903. The bike’s design, with its white tires, leather saddle and handgrips, and sleek black frame, are meant to harken back to that first prototype. Harley Davidson announced their official exit from the Indian market. Harley Davidson’s announcement of closing its manufacturing operations in India and reducing the size of its sales office in Gurgaon does not come as a surprise. Harley-Davidson showed off some highly anticipated new wheels this week, but they’re not the machines you might be envisioning. The iconic motorcycle manufacturer officially unveiled its first electric bicycle designs this week during the company's Annual Dealer Meeting in Milwaukee. Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and Heritage Softail Classic have just gone cheaper by a large margin. The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, which was priced at ₹ 17.01 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), will now be available at ₹ 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, earlier priced at ₹ 18.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), will now be priced at ₹ 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The revised prices are applicable on the Model Year 17 Softail models and have been effective 1st September 2017, till stocks last. To assist customers further Harley-Davidson has come up with a new financing scheme - Bullet EMI. Harley-Davidson's exclusive riding group for women called the ‘Ladies Of Harley’ (LOH)  will be taking off on their first ride to Dandeli, Karnataka. Scheduled to take place from May 26-28, 2017, this will be the first official ride for the chapter since its inception.     In a bid to bring women bikers together, Harley-Davidson created an exclusive riding group for women called the ‘Ladies Of Harley’ (LOH) in February 2017. Biker Veenu Paliwal dies in road accident in Madhya Pradesh

Veenu Paliwal, one of the top woman bikers in the country, died in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district on Monday. The 44-year-old biker was on a nationwide tour on her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Reports say that Paliwal died due to severe injuries after her bike skidded off. . Meanwhile, her fellow biker and friends has alleged that she was given wrong injection that led to her death. **Update: Paliwal died of liver rupture caused do the impact of handlebars on the abdomen resulting in internal bleeding.
