2021 Force Gurkha unveiled officially. Launch on September 27

Force Motors has officially unveiled the new generation Gurkha in its final production-spec form. The prices will be announced on 27th Sep 2021, while deliveries will start on Dusshera Day (15th Oct 2021). The new Gurkha's design is similar to the outgoing model though the entire body shell is new. Noticeable styling changes include a new grille, bumpers, light clusters, larger windows for the rear passengers – the company calls them panoramic windows – and a larger rear windshield to aid rear visibility. Hardware such as the snorkel comes fitted as standard from the factory. The rear end of the SUV gets a flat tailgate with a spare wheel mounted on it. Force Gurkha updated with ABS safety system

Force Motors has silently launched the ABS-equipped Gurkha in the Indian market. The new version of the SUV is priced at Rs 11.05 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Gurkha Xplorer ABS is available with both the trims – 3-door and 5-door. The 3-door trim is the top-spec version and is priced at Rs. 13.30 lakh. With the new safety rules implemented in India from 1st April, manufacturers are silently updating their products to meet with the new laws. Compared to the non-ABS configurations, the ABS-equipped configurations are up to INR 30,000 dearer. Bookings for the updated model are already underway, and deliveries are expected to commence in the coming weeks. The new Force Gurkha Xtreme will be powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM611-derived 2.2-litre diesel unit that makes 140hp and 321Nm replacing the aged 85hp, 2.6-litre diesel engine This is essentially the same engine that powered the now-discontinued Force One SUV. In addition to the engine, the Gurkha will get a new gearbox too – a Mercedes-Benz G32 five-speed manual that links to the engine via a dual-mass flywheel. The Force Gurkha Xtreme will also come with front and rear diff-locks, like the standard Gurkha. The suspension is set to receive an upgrade too, with a multi-link arrangement at the front in addition to the one at the rear. The front track will be wider by 40mm.
