Bajaj Dominar 400 turns touring friendly with new accessories

Bajaj Auto has launched the updated Dominar 400 with factory-fitted touring accessories at INR 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom).The new accessory package is offered as a standard fitment and comprises strong touring essentials which make the bike more touring friendly. The standard Bajaj Dominar 400 used to cost INR 2.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). But the new model with accessories – which is the only variant available for sale – costs just INR 5,000/- more and replaces the current model. Bajaj Dominar 250 Dual-Tone Edition launched

Bajaj Auto has introduced three new colour options for the Dominar 250 in the Indian market – Racing Red/Matt Silver, Citrus Rush/Matt Silver, and Sparkling Black/Matt Silver. The bike is priced at Rs. 1,54,176 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from the colours, the dual-tone variants sport no changes over the existing Dominar 250. It continues to offer a bulbous LED headlamp, USD front forks, a muscular fuel tank, monoshock rear suspension, and a stubby twin-barrel exhaust. Said exhaust is tuned to generate a throaty sound, which suits the sporty nature of the motorcycle. The Dominar 250 is powered by a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 27 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 23.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm.

Bajaj Urbanite will be Tesla in the two-wheeler space

Bajaj is reportedly working on ‘premium’  electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, codenamed -‘Urbanite'. Bajaj MD Rajiv Bajaj has stated that the Urbanite will aim to, ‘do a Tesla in the two-wheeler space.’ The electric vehicles under the brand name 'Urbanite' will be sold for both for the domestic as well as international markets. Bajaj also confirmed that the electric vehicles including three-wheelers under the new franchise will go on sale by 2020. Bajaj is not the first Indian company to show interest in the EV space. Hero Electric has been around for over 10 years now, and has a strong network of 300 sales and service centres.
