The spyshots on technwheelz.com indicate that Mahindra has started working on a refresh /upgrade for its Xylo based pickup- the Genio. The Genio facelift is expected to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Speaking to Car Advice, Mahindra Australia’s marketing manager James Halliwell teased that the upcoming facelift for the Mahindra Genio, will be “pleasing to the eye”.
The 2016 Genio facelift features Mahindra’s signature grille, redesigned headlamps, redesigned front bumpers – air intakes and a new hood. The interior is expected to get a more premium feel with better quality plastics. The side profile of the Genio facelift is likely to be the same like its current model.
The Genio facelift is expected to get same 2.5 liter four cylinder mDI CRDe diesel engine, which powers the current model. The engine offers a power of 75 bhp and a peak torque of 220Nm.
According to the spy photographer, getting the spy pics was not an easy task. The pics though not clear clearly hint that the 2016 Genio will surely be “pleasing to the eye”.
