Renault’s upcoming MPV Lodgy has been spied undergoing testing in India under heavy camouflage by IAB. The car is expected to be launched in March 2015.The Renault Lodgy is based on the Logan’s platform. When launched in India, the Lodgy will complete against the likes of Honda’s new Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Enjoy and upcoming Datsun Go+.
In terms of styling, the Indian-spec Renault Lodgy is different to the one available in international markets.

The front grille bars features chrome detailing, a redesigned front fascia with black plastic cladding in the underlip for basic variants and optional silver skid guard for top variants. Also part of the changes are a new alloy rim design.

Like the exterior, the interior could also receive some market-specific changes. The Lodgy shares a bulk of its components with the Duster which is well localized in India.

The Lodgy will be powered by the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine in two states of tune – 85 PS and 110 PS mated manual transmission.

Renault will be looking to heavily localise the Lodgy to price it competitively. The Lodgy MPV is likely to cost around INR 8 – 11 lakh in India.
