Team-bhp follower has snapped the facelifted Mahindra Scorpio Getaway testing with a covered up front-end. The Scorpio Getaway is a pickup derived from the Scorpio SUV. The pickup truck is also sold to other parts of the world like New Zealand, Australia and South Africa under the nomenclature Mahindra ’Pik-Up’ .
The test mule features the ‘Pik-Up’ tag on its tailgate. The Mahindra Pik-Up gets a revised front fascia borrowed from the Scorpio SUV. Along with the new grille and bumper, double barrel headlamps with DRLs are expected.
The side profile remains largely the same. Slight changes can be seen on the C-Pillar. The pick-up spied here is a double cab version with a capability to seat 5 people. The cabin will also get improved materials while the seats will continue to be upholstered in fabric.
The Australian version already comes with a 2-DIN audio system, tilt steering, central lock, power windows and HVAC unit which will be retained on the outgoing model as well.
The Mahindra Pik-Up is expected to be powered by a 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine producing 120 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. All wheel drive option can also be expected.
