Tata Motors is working extensively on two new cars- the Kite hatchback and Kite Compact Sedan which is meant to replace the Indica eV2 hatchback and Indigo eCS sedan respectively. Tata Kite hatchback has been spied testing numerous times and now folks at Motorbeam has spotted the test mule of Kite Compact sedan at Kari Motor Speedway racetrack in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Like the Indigo eCS, the Kite will be a sub-4 meter compact sedan and will be the second such offering from Tata Motors, in addition to the Zest. Tata Motors will first launch the Kite hatchback next year, followed by the compact sedan, which is primed for a late 2015 launch.

Tata Motors might employ the new 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine under Kite’s hood. An all-new three cylinder 1.05 litre common rail diesel engine will be introduced in the new offering, mated to five speed manual transmission. It will give output of 64.1 bhp max. power and 140 Nm peak torque.
With the Kite Compact Sedan, Tata Motors will take on the likes of Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and the upcoming Ford Figo Sedan.
