The Benelli Tornado 302 has been spied for the first time near Pune by motoroctane follower. The 300cc motorcycle could join the company’s India line-up soon. Based on the TNT300, the fully-faired 302, will be assembled at the company’s all-new Talegaon plant.
Unveiled at the 2015 EICMA show in Milan, the Tornado 302 gets a 300 cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, twin-cylinder engine, which has been tweaked to produce 34 BHP and 27 Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
As said, the 302 is essentially a fully-faired version of the TNT300. As a result, the Tornado 302 shares various components with its naked sibling which includes the 41mm inverted telescopic fork with 120 mm travel, the monoshock with 45 mm travel, the 260mm twin-disc brake at the front and the single-disc brake at the rear. It will be offered with Metzeler tyres measuring 110/70-ZR17 and 150/60-ZR17 in size.
The bike may feature ABS as standard.
The Benelli Tornado 302 is expected to be priced around INR 3.5 lakhs (on-road) and will be launched during the festive season of 2016.
