What is Forty-Eight 48?

The 48 is based on the 1200 Sportster –with a small tank, called a “Peanut” tank by Harley people which was introduced in 1948, so called the Forty-Eight  48. It has the classic 1948 style small peanut tank, wire wheels, forward-controls, a wider front tire with a fat front end and chopped front fender, a slammed speedo with under mount mirrors, low solo single seat, and low suspension.
