Filmmaker-producer Karan Johar had added another swanky car to his automobile collection. The Bigg Boss OTT host has bought Audi A8 L worth Rs 1.57 crores. The A8L is the flagship luxury saloon for Audi. He chose the Floret Silver colour. The A8L is sold in a single variant which is called 55 TFSI.
In India, Audi retails only the long-wheelbase version of its flagship sedan. Now, it goes without saying the car comes loaded with a world of features and provisions. Inside, it gets perforated seats, ambient lighting, a virtual cockpit, a dual touchscreen infotainment system, a rear seat entertainment system including two tablets, etc. The German automaker also also offers plenty of optional features to take things up a few notches.
The A8L comes with a turbocharged V6 engine that has a capacity of 3.0-litres. The engine also gets direct injection and a mild-hybrid technology to boost fuel economy. The engine produces 340 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 500 Nm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox that drives all four wheels via Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. Despite having a gross weight of 2.75 tonnes the A8L can hit a top speed of 250 kmph and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. Audi A8L competes against other luxury saloons like Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series.
