Dulquer Salmaan aka DQ is one of the most popular actors in the Malayalam film industry. He is a massive petrolhead and has one of the most envious garages in the country. He, along with his father and actor Mammooty famously owns the 369 Garage. The actor has added a new exotic to his home in the form of the Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV. The performance offering is as aspirational as it gets and certainly popular among celebrities. It’s also one of the most expensive SUVs you can get your hands on and is priced at ₹ 2.45 crore (ex-showroom).
Dulquer’s G63 is finished in the Designo Olive Green shade and is quite unique. We have rarely seen anyone buy a G63 AMG in this colour in India. Most of the time, people opt for either White or Black shade. In addition to this, the cabin is finished in blue and black dual-tone upholstery that looks fabulous. The wheels are blacked-out as well and add to the fantastic looks of the SUV. The amount of chrome on the outside is quite less.
Over the years, G-Wagen has changed a lot in terms of features but, the basic boxy design of the SUV has not changed. The version Dulquer Salmaan has bought here is the latest version. The 2021 Mercedes-AMG G63 comes with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 577hp and 850Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters sends all that power to the all-wheel-drive system. Low-range gearing (2.93:1 reduction) is standard as are three locking differentials, allowing the G63 to scale steep dirt grades with ridiculous ease. Along with its extra power, the G63 has AMG-specific suspension tuning. Properly equipped, the G63 can tow up to 2948kg.
