Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 SUV is very popular among the Bollywood industry. Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurranaa also bought the GLS600 quite recently. However, the latest one to do so is an actress. Now, Kriti Sanon has bought herself a Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 luxury SUV. She has opted for a single-tone blue paint scheme. The SUV costs Rs. 2.43 Crores ex-showroom before any customization options.
The kerb weight of the GLS600 is a massive 2.4 tonnes. So, you need a lot of power to move the SUV. Power comes from the 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that develops 550 bhp and 730 Nm of peak torque. It’s paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The engine is also paired with a 48-volt system EQ Boost system that adds 21 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque for better initial acceleration and efficiency. The luxury SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 kmph.
It is a Maybach so it does not come with Mercedes’s styling. Up-front, we can see horizontal slats that only Maybach vehicles come with. There are also Maybach exclusive alloy wheels and a Maybach badge on the C-pillar. Mercedes also offers a dual paint job from the factory. Unlike other vehicles, Maybach has decided to paint the bonnet, wing mirrors and the pillars in a different paint scheme. There is also a lot of chrome everywhere that gives the SUV an expensive look.
You can get the GLS600 as a four-seater or as a five-seater. The five-seater version gets a conventional bench seat in the second row and a foldable armrest in the middle. The four-seater version feels more premium because it offers two individual seats with a dedicated centre console in between.
The cabin gets a beige and brown dual-tone interior with Nappa leather upholstery. You go get different leather packages for the cabin to choose from. The expansive feature list comprises reclining rear seats, electronic panoramic sliding sunroof, ventilated massage seats and a wide range of ambient lighting options. There’s also the 12.3-inch dual-screens display with the latest MBUX infotainment system. The car also gets the ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice command system and Mercedes Me connected car tech.
50 units of the GLS600 SUV were allotted to India and already all of them are sold. The GLS600 is being brought to India as a Completely Built Unit or CBU import. The SUV is sold out till the end of 2021. The deliveries of the luxury SUV have also started across India.
