Maruti Suzuki has lauhnched an upgraded version of its Super Carry CV, featuring a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, K-Series dual jet, dual VVT engine which powers the Wagon R, Swift, Baleno, and the upcoming Fronx. With a maximum power output of 59.4kW (80.7ps) at 6000rpm and 104.4 Nm torque at 2900rpm in petrol, the new engine offers a substantial improvement over the existing model’s 54kW and 98 Nm. The CNG variant produces 52.7 kW (71.6 ps) at 6000rpm and 95 Nm at 2800rpm.
The new engine is paired with an upgraded five-speed manual transmission that offers better gradeability, making it easier to drive up steeper gradients than the existing model. The Super Carry’s maximum payload capacity is 740kg in petrol and 625kg in CNG. Maruti Suzuki has also launched a new CNG cab chassis variant of the Super Carry, priced at Rs 615,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).
In addition to the new engine, the Super Carry boasts front disc brakes, reverse parking sensors, and seatbelt reminders. The mini-truck’s CNG variant maintains a 5-litre emergency petrol tank. The Super Carry is available in other variants including CNG Deck (Rs 630,500), Petrol Deck (Rs 530,500), and Petrol Cab Chassis (Rs 515,500).

With over 370 commercial outlets in more than 270 cities across India, the Super Carry has multiple applications, including e-commerce, courier, FMCG, and goods distribution.
