SsangYong has begun testing the Tivoli, in India. The Tivoli is the first compact global SUV by the Korean car-maker and was unveiled internationally earlier this year.
The Tivoli is also SsangYong’s first new model under Mahindra & Mahindra ownership. Mahindra and Ssangyong were evaluating the launch of this crossover in India.
Internationally, the Tivoli comes with the choice of 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engines.
When launched the Tivoli will be the third compact SUV offering from the car maker and will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Nissan Terrano.
We expect the SsangYong Tivoli to be unveiled at Auto Expo 2016 and get a market launch thereafter.
