Maruti Suzuki has officially released teaser sketch of of its brand new compact SUV. To be showcased at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo, the compact SUV will be named as the Vitara Brezza. The SUV was known to all as the XA Alpha or the YBA.
The new Vitara Brezza will take the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Duster.
The Brezza will be powered by the 1.4-litre K14B petrol engine seen on the Ertiga that produces 95PS and 130Nm.
The diesel will be a Fiat-derived MultiJet 1.3-litre DDiS unit that produces 90PS of peak power and 200Nm of torque which is used in the Baleno and Swift models. The Vitara Brezza might also get the 1.6-litre diesel seen on the S-Cross making 320Nm of peak torque.
Both the engines will be mated to 5-speed manual gear box. CVT borrowed from the Baleno is also expected in future.
The Vitara Brezza comes with a two tone setup and a floating roof design. It also gets large five spoke wheels and a plastic cladding on the sides.
The Brezza might get ABS, EBD and dual front airbags on all variants.
