Folks at Bharath Autos has posted few set of spyshots which reveals complete details of the Imperio. The Imperio is essentially the redesigned Genio pickup. The company has confirmed that the new range of pickups will be launched in January 2016.
The Imperio features Mahindra’s signature grille, redesigned headlamps, redesigned front bumpers – air intakes and a new hood.
Like the Maxximo Plus, the Imperio too features two modes – Power Mode and Eco Mode. It allows you to switch between more power and more mileage as and when you need, at the push of a button.
The Power Mode is used when you want to utilise the entire power of the vehicle . For instance, when climbing up a steep incline on a full load and when going down an incline without any load switch to Eco Mode for max efficiency.
The Imperio is expected to get same 2.5 liter four cylinder mDI CRDe diesel engine, which powers the current model. The engine offers a power of 75 bhp and a peak torque of 220Nm.
The Imperio has been conceptualized and developed in-house at Mahindra Research Valley, Chennai. It will be produced at the Mahindra’s manufacturing facility at Chakan Plant, Pune.
