Renault officially released the images of the new Koleos SUV at the ongoing 2016 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
Koleos has adopted Renault’s new family face, with the c-shaped LED headlights merging with the large chrome-slated front grille.
The Koleos shares much of its mechanical makeup with the new Nissan X-Trailand Renault Talisman. It will sit above the Nissan Qashqai-based Kadjar in Renault’s SUV line-up and have a similar length wheelbase to the X-Trail.
The engines on offer would be two petrol and two diesel units, ranging in power from 130bhp to 175bhp and will be available in both two and four-wheel drive options.
The 4WD variant will have selectable front and all-wheel drive settings and ‘locked’ four-wheel drive for low-speed, low grip situations. Both six-speed manual and CVT automatic transmissions will be offered.
The 2,710mm wheelbase – for a total vehicle length of 4,670mm – counts amongst the longest in the class -the D-segment. The SUv also gets a boot space of 624 litres, plus a removable floor positioned at the same height as the boot, which forms a flat floor.
