Ford, at the ongoing Detroit Motor Show, debuted the NASCAR variant based on the 2017 Ford Fusion facelifted model. The car will compete in the 2016 season of NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series.
The NASCAR Fusion gets revised front fascia from the street version of the vehicle. The headlights, the front grille and air intakes, all simply stickers rather than the real deal. Beyond the new exterior, a new digital dashboard system has been installed in line with NASCAR’s latest regulations.
The 2016 NASCAR Fusion retains the same V8 engine that delivers 750 hp at 9,000 rpm.
The new Fusion will make its race debut at the Daytona 500 on February 21.
