TVS Motor Company has officially launched the new Raider 125 motorcycle in India at INR 77,500/-. This sport-commuter bike adds to the ever increasing list of 125cc bikes in the country. It will be offered as a capable competitor to the Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Pulsar 125, Bajaj Discover 125 and Hero Super Splendor in the Indian market.
Sporty styling elements are among the main aspects buyers look for in this space and TVS has delivered. The Raider features a LED headlamp with integrated U-shaped LED daytime running lights, muscular tank, sharp belly-pan and split-seat set. The minimalist LED tail-light is also unique and something we don’t see often on bikes at this price point.
TVS Raider 125cc is available in four colour options of Blue, Red, Yellow, and Black but with a dual tone finish with black colour on its tank shrouds.
The TVS Raider 125 is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 11.2 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike features an Integrated Starter Generator and comes with two riding modes – Eco and Power.
Suspension duty on the Raider 125 is handled by a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The latter is gas-charged and offers five steps of preload adjustment. Braking, meanwhile, is carried out by a 240mm disc up front and a 130mm drum at the rear on the more expensive variant. The bike comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The Raider 125 has a wheelbase of 1,326mm and a seat height of 780mm. The fuel tank can hold 10 litres and the bike has a kerb weight figure of just 123kg.
