The new Ducati SuperSport 950 has been launched in India. The 937cc twin-cylinder sportbike will be available in two variants – standard and S – with a starting price of INR 13.49 lakh.
The SuperSport was on sale in India as a BS4 model, and now makes its return as a BS6-compliant machine. The base variant is priced at INR 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the ‘S’ version costs between INR 15.49 lakh and INR 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India) depending on the colour scheme.
The base model of the new Ducati SuperSport 950 will come with a Ducati Red fairing with Ducati Red frame and Glossy Black wheel rims. On the other hand, the S variant of the new motorcycle will be available in either ‘Arctic White Silk fairing with Ducati Red frame and Glossy Black wheel rims with Ducati Red tag’ or ‘Ducati Red fairing with Ducati Red frame and Glossy Black wheel rims with Ducati Red tag’ colour options.
While its output figures have remained unchanged, at 110hp and 93Nm, Ducati has thrown in a more sophisticated electronics package to help control the power. The SuperSport gets the latest Bosch 6-axis IMU platform, which facilitates aids like cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, wheelie control and a bi-directional quickshifter. All these features are managed via the new 4.3-inch colour TFT display.
Other features include Trellis frame, 43mm Marzocchi USD fork, Sachs monoshock (both fully-adjustable), and twin 320mm discs with Brembo M4-32 monobloc calipers. The higher-spec ‘S’ variant is differentiated by its more premium Ohlins suspension.
