Sub 300cc motorcycles preferred by Women Bikers in India

“Which is the best motorcycle for women?” Now, this is one of the most common question we get asked by female bikers. In fact there aren’t any motorcycles made specifically for women, but yes, there are motorcycles that are more popular among the majority of women riders. Using our surveys we pick the top 5, sub 300cc motorcycles that are most preferred among female motorcyclists today in India.

Pick 1: Bajaj Avenger

When launched, the Avenger was billed as the poor man’s Harley-Davidson. There are 4 variants on sale now – the Avenger Street 150, Avenger Cruise 220, Cruise Desert Gold and Street 220 . The 150cc Avenger is only available in the Street trim and at first glance it bears a striking resemblance to the Harley-Davidson Street 750.

The Bajaj Avenger Cruise and Street 220 are powered by a 220cc air-cooled twin spark engine which makes 19.04PS and 17.5Nm, mated to a 5-speed transmission while the Bajaj Avenger Street 150 runs a 14.5PS/12.5Nm 150cc twin spark engine mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The Pulsar 200 NS  is a handsome looking bike. The crouched stance, broad fuel tank and the high tail light add to the sporty look of the bike.  Powered by a 199cc motor it makes around 23bhp of power, 18Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

KTM has emerged as a brilliant motorcycle maker which has studied and understood the needs and requirements of the motorcycling enthusiasts like no other manufacturer has been able to. The Duke 200 has an incredible presence. It is among the best looking motorcycles in India today. Build quality is excellent. In a very short span of time, the KTM Duke 200 went on setting new sales records. This is also one of the most preferred bike among women riders too.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is sporty, responsive, ergonomically designed, technologically advanced and one of the best motorcycles in its class. The Ninja 300 offers comfortable ergonomics- a good seat height, fits a wide variety of rider’s body types.

The 296cc parallel twin on the Ninja 300 produces 39 PS at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 10,000rpm and delivers smooth power, excellent mid-range and high-RPM power for effective highway performance. The build quality of Ninja is bulletproof. Ex showroom price  : Rs 3.80 lakh

Pick 5: Mahindra Mojo 300

The Mahindra Mojo 300  is surely an eye catcher because of its huge appearance; however, we can’t say that it is the best-looking motorcycle in its segment. Mahindra 2-Wheelers made great efforts for years to develop this highway muncher and the results are quite satisfying.

The 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine makes a maximum power of 27bhp at 8,000rpm, and a maximum torque of 30Nm at 5,500rpm. The Mojo is a motorcycle with which you can happily stay at highway cruising.  Ex showroom price Rs 1.63 lakh
