With the increasing popularity of the custom motorcycles emerging in India we’re starting to see some pretty unique thinking and original concept by custom builders. Custom build motorcycles can be an eccentric approach from a marketing perspective, but it is building up an interesting pairing between consumer and the brand. One such example is by Pune based Fareez Bhathena (Motorcycle Customizer & Chrome Manager) Two Rivers Harley-Davidson Pune, who designed and built a custom motorcycle inspired by the old school, 1940-50’s knucklehead Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.
Christened the ‘TWISTED MAYHEM’, the Street 750 based concept is a modest sprinkling of aesthetic eye candy. The stance of the motorcycle has been completely revised with lot of goodies. It took only a mere 26 days to completely design and built the concept.
To free up a few more horses from the liquid cooled V-twin a Screamin’ Eagle air intake and dramatically designed twisted exhaust system that screams at 138db necessitated extensive remapping of the EFi. The result is a V-twin that runs better than the stock bike and unabashedly barks out that unmistakable Harley V-twin rumble.
To finish the whole bike off a Black shimmer paint scheme was chosen. The chassis and rims are finished to mimic the wooden texture. The engine gets embellished with copper plating and orangish paint shades.
The ‘TWISTED MAYHEM’ bagged 1st Runner up at the 2015 India Bike Week Goa where it was first unveiled. Later the motorcycle also participated in the India Super Bike Festival 2015, Pune where it was awarded as the Best Custom Bike and the Loudest Bike of the event.
