Vietnam’s VinFast to launch first electric crossover in 2021

Vietnam's first home-grown automaker, VinFast, plans to introduce an electric crossover before the end of 2020 and will target the United States market. VinFast hasn't unveiled the car yet, and we don't know what it will be called. The model, designed by Italian design house Pininfarina , and with battery pack from LG Chem is expected to deliver up to 500 kilometres (310 miles) on one charge. There's no word yet on how the company will distribute its cars in the United States. VinFast is part of Vingroup, which is one of the largest private conglomerates in Asia. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles launched its first fully electric van in the UK with prices for the zero-emission ABT eTransporter 6.1 Developed in collaboration with Premium Partner ABT e-Line, the ABT eTransporter 6.1 combines quiet and smooth driving, instant torque, fast charging and high load capacity for the ultimate zero-emissions urban logistics van. The model offers an all-electric range of up to 82 miles (132 km) as per the WLTP procedure (world harmonized light-duty vehicles test procedure) with a cargo space of 6.7m3 and payload of up to 1,001kg. The AKO Trike from Lithuania-based EV startup is two-seater electric three-wheeler and features a novel leaning mechanism. Described as a vehicle between a car and a bike that would, in theory, feel like riding an airplane, the AKO Trike comes with a proprietary, patent-pending mechanism that would allow it to lean by up to 30 degrees upon turns, when traveling at higher speeds. Dyson, the technology company best known for its vacuum cleaners, short-lived electric car project started in 2017. At one point some 600 people at Dyson were working on it. In 2018, Dyson said it would build a manufacturing plant in Singapore to make the EVs, and was also working on developing solid-state batteries for the vehicle. BYD Han electric sedan revealed. Rival to Tesla Model 3

BYD Han EV, the China automaker’s flagship premium all-electric executive sedan is set to go on sale in international markets following its home-market debut in June. The model was supposed to debut in April at Auto China, which was cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic, and now will come to Europe. Made-in-India Menza Lucat electric motorcycle launched

Menza Motors launched their first electric motorcycle - Lucat at INR 2.79 lakh Ex-showroom, Delhi. One can pre-book the bike starting mid-Feb with deliveries expected mid-August.   Based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Menza Motors was launched in March 2016 and with their all new product the company aims to bring about a change in the automobile industry of India. Powering the motorcycle is a Brushless DC motor with output ratings of 18 Kw and 60Nm. OK Play India, the manufacturer of plastic auto components, launched the E-Raaja electric rickshaw. The E-Raaja has been priced at Rs 1.15-1.25 lakh (inclusive of taxes, Delhi). The company plans to produce the e-rickshaws from its two manufacturing units - one in Sohna (Haryana)and the second one in Ranipet ( Tamil Nadu).
