LML Moonshot e-bike and Star electric scooter unveiled

LML has announced its entry into the electric 2-wheeler segment with three new models - the Moonshot pedal-assisted e-bike, the Star e-scooter and the Orion e-bicycle. The company plans to launch its first product in the Indian market in the second half of 2023.  LML has not revealed any technical details of the two-wheelers. The LML Moonshot is an electric bike with an exposed trellis frame. The bike also has a hexagonal headlamp and a single-piece seat. The Moonshot features an upside fork suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. It rides on alloy wheels and is equipped with disc brakes. Tata Motors launched the Tiago EV at an introductory price of INR 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line variant of the Tiago EV is priced at INR11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The bookings for the Tiago EV will commence on October 10. The deliveries of the vehicle will commence next year in January. Tata Motors has reserved 2,000 units of the maiden 10,000 units of the Tiago EV, which will be offered at introductory prices, for the existing Nexon EV and Tigor EV owners. The new Tata Tiago EV is available with two different battery packs -- 19.2kWh and 24kWh. Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled five new electric SUVs as part of their Mahindra Born Electric Vision and these SUVs will be positioned under Mahindra’s two EV brands – XUV, and the all-new electric-only brand called BE. All five electric SUVs will be built on the just-revealed INGLO (Indian Global) platform, created in association with Volkswagen! The Kratos is priced at Rs 1,92,499, while the R version retails for INR 2,07,499 (ex-showroom, Pune). FAME-II subsidies knock a significant INR 60,000 off these prices, bringing the effective ex-showroom prices down to INR 1,32,499 and INR 1,47,499.
