Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT launched in India starting at INR 1.79 crore

Audi India has launched the Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT at INR 1.79 crore and INR 2.04 crore respectively. Prices are ex-showroom and the cars will be imported as a CBU. The e-tron GT uses two electric motors; one on each axle, with a combined output of 469 BHP and 630 Nm. It comes with an 'over-boost' function which bumps the output to 523 BHP. The RS version packs 590 BHP and 830 Nm. The rear motor is mated to a 2-speed transmission. The e-tron GT uses an 85 kWh battery that is said to provide a maximum range of 488 km on a single charge. The RS variant has a slightly lower range of 472 km on a single charge. Okaya launches Freedum electric scooter with 250 km range

Okaya Group has launched its Freedum electric scooter in India. Okaya is claiming a riding range of 250 km on a single charge which is the highest of any scooter that we have seen in the Indian market. The Freedum starts at Rs. 69,900 ex-showroom for the base variant but it does not get 250 km of range. You would have to step up to the higher variants to get the full 250 km of range. There will be four variants on offer and 12 colour options. Omega Seiki Mobility M1KA SCV unveiled with 250km range

Omega Seiki Mobility has unveiled the country’s first-ever electric SCV (small commercial vehicle) the M1KA. The M1KA is the brand’s first attempt in the four-wheeled commercial vehicle space. The M1KA is equipped with a high-voltage electric powertrain, comprising a 90 kWh NMC battery pack and an electric motor with a peak torque of 347 Nm. Hyderabad-based EV startup called Gravton has entered the electric two-wheeler segment in India. The company has launched its first electric bike known as the Gravton Quanta at an introductory price of INR 99,000 (ex-showroom, Hyderabad) which is set to increase to around Rs 1.1-1.2 lakh soon. Gravton says that the price is expected to drop back to around Rs 99,000 once it gets approval for the FAME II subsidy. The Quanta will only be available in Hyderabad initially, but the company does plan to launch it in other cities in the future. Jaguar has launched the I-Pace ; the first all-electric offering by the carmaker in India. It has been priced from Rs 1.06 crore for the base S trim and goes up to Rs 1.12 crore for the top-spec HSE trim (ex-showroom, India). The Jaguar I-Pace is available in three trim levels in India - S, SE, and HSE. The I-Pace comes with two electric motors that produce a combined 400hp and 696Nm of torque. GMC recently unveiled the third generation Hummer and calls it a supertruck like no other. It took only a matter of 10 minutes for the first edition of GMC Hummer EV to be sold out in United States shortly after its launch. Hummer EV is powered by  three electric motors paired with an underfloor battery pack, the Hummer EV puts out a claimed 1000hp and 15,592Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0-96kph in 3 seconds.
