Etrio launch electric 3-wheeler Touro Max and Mini

Etrio, India’s electric vehicle start-up, with an aim of electrifying intracity logistics has launched its new electric three-wheeler range of products under the brand name “Touro”. Catering to the cargo segment, the two new variants will be focused on intra-city logistics especially in last-mile delivery applications. The passenger variants of the three-wheelers will be rolled out soon. The company raised funding of $3 million, last month to facilitate these launches. GMC Hummer EV pick-up 1000hp debuts. Rival to the Tesla Cybertruck

GMC recently unveiled the third generation Hummer and calls it a supertruck like no other. It took only a matter of 10 minutes for the first edition of GMC Hummer EV to be sold out in United States shortly after its launch. Hummer EV is powered by  three electric motors paired with an underfloor battery pack, the Hummer EV puts out a claimed 1000hp and 15,592Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0-96kph in 3 seconds. The batteries will be arranged in a 24-module double-stacked layout, and while GM has yet to reveal their storage capacity, it claims the Hummer EV will be able to travel more than 560km on a full charge. The Mercedes-Benz EQC SUV has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 99.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With this, Mercedes-Benz has become the first automaker to introduce an all-electric luxury car in India. This price will be applicable for the first 50 customers only. Powered by two asynchronous motors, one on each axle, the EQC produces a combined output of 408hp and 765Nm of torque. The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler company, Ather Energy has finally revealed its Series 1 that was first announced with the 450X back in January. Special to the Series 1 is its unique colour scheme that the company says is glossy black colour that has golden metallic flake in it. It also has minimal red highlights, including a racing stripe, wheel decals and its exposed trellis frame finished in red. Hyderabad-based EV start-up Atumobile has launched the Atum 1.0 electric bike for a starting price of Rs 50,000. Powering it is a 48 V portable lithium-ion battery pack that offers 100 km range per charge (claimed) and it can be juiced up completely in 4 hours. A 250 W electric motor provides the propulsion to a maximum speed of 25 km/hr. The Atum 1.0 electric bike does not need a registration certificate and you don't require a driving license to ride it. Kerala to deploy 65 Nexon EV for MVD’s enforcement activities

Kerala will become the first State in the country to deploy electric vehicles (EVs) for enforcement activities. The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has placed orders for ‘plug-in electric vehicles’ for 65 Enforcement Squads of the Safe Kerala project for enforcing motor vehicles rules and to ensure road discipline. The government has opted for 65 Tata Nexon EVs for eight years by payment of upfront cost. The EVs are being dry-leased (car without chauffeurs) from the Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), a Central government institution under the Ministry of Power, through the Agency for Non -Conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT).
