McLaren GT, 720S Coupe and 720S Spider India prices revealed

McLaren has released the India prices of three cars in their line-up: the GT, 720S and 720S Spider. The most affordable McLaren is the GT (Rs 3.73 crore) followed by the 720S (Rs 4.65 crore) while the most expensive McLaren GT is the 720S Spider which can be had for Rs 5.03 crore (all prices, ex-showroom).

The McLaren cars are being sold across India through its official distributor, Infinity Cars in Mumbai. These cars come in via the CBU route. The new breed of McLaren cars offer the best in performance and are an exotic alternative to Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

The most affordable McLaren: the GT, gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that puts out 620PS and 630Nm. It features the seven-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG). The GT sits on the Monocell II-T carbon fibre structure and aluminium chassis. It accelerates to 100kmph in a mere 3.2 seconds and tops out at 326kmph. The McLaren GT will take on the likes of the Ferrari Roma and the Bentley Continental GT.

The 720S is one of McLaren’s most popular cars globally and gets a price tag of Rs 4.65 crore for the Coupe and Rs 5.04 crore for the Spider in India. Just like on the GT, McLaren will offer a pre-configured pack that equips the vehicle with a front suspension lift, premium 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and more. The pack will be priced at Rs 43.31 lakh. The 4.0-litre, twin-turbo engine makes 720hp and 770Nm of torque in both, the Coupe and the Spider. Both cars go from 0-100kph in just 2.9sec and on to a top speed of 341kph. The Spider’s convertible roof takes just 11sec to open or close and can be operated at speeds of up to 50kph.

Although one can officially configure an Artura for the Indian market, similar to the GT, 720S Coupe and Spider, prices for the model are yet to be announced.
