Mahindra will be launching the all new Scorpio-N on June 27th, but the manufacturer will continue to offer the older model alongside it as the Scorpio Classic. Scorpio Classic will be positioned at the lower end of the segment, however, some variants could overlap with the upcoming new Scorpio-N.
With the upcoming Scorpio-N expected to be priced around the Rs 15 lakh-22 lakh mark, the upcoming Scorpio Classic would continue to hold its spot in the Rs 13 lakh-16 lakh range in Mahindra’s SUV line-up.
From the spy pics of the Scorpio Classic it can be clearly seen that there’s a new front grille on board which is Mahindra’s new styling philosophy also present on the Scorpio N and the XUV700. In addition, there’s the new Mahindra logo, while the alloy wheels and projector headlamps look to have been retained and only minor revisions expected on the bumpers.
The cabin of the Scorpio Classic will likely remain largely unchanged, aside from new upholstery options and perhaps a couple of new features. The current feature list includes a touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, steering-mounted audio control, cruise control, a multi-info display, and keyless entry.
The Scorpio Classic will continue with the old 140hp, 2.0-litre, mHawk turbo diesel engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
