DC2 (formerly called DC Designs) has unveiled their dress-kit for the new-generation Mahindra Thar. Mahindra also offers a range of accessories and kits to bring a different look for each customer. However, if you want something a lot more customised to your liking DC2 has revealed the new Dress Kit for the 2020 Mahindra Thar.
The company recently released renders of their Mahindra Thar dress-kit on social media. It is entirely subjective whether it is a good looking vehicle or not. As far as looks go, the new Thar has even more road presence than the previous-gen Thar.
The front design is completely changed and now features a new front grille design with the familiar seven vertical-slats, smoked rectangular LED headlamps replacing the stock halogen lights, and a massive front bumper positioned a bit higher up compared to that on the stock model. The new heavy-duty tyres are clearly designed to go over any terrain with the steel rim making them off-road-ready. The suspension also gets a lift in a bid to accommodate the new wheels, while also increasing the ground clearance. At the rear, it gets a pair of tail lamps on either sides. The SUV also gets a new hardtop.
The Thar is available with two engine options. These include a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder mStallion petrol that produces 150 BHP and 320 Nm and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel that makes 130 BHP and 320 Nm. Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive with a manual shift transfer case is standard across all variants.
