Maruti Suzuki has introduced the all-new Brezza in India priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Available in four variants – LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is based on a new platform and is also equipped with a new petrol engine, transmission and features.
The new 2022 Brezza looks completely new. The front-end gets a new design language that looks much sleeker than before. The grille is flanked by new all-LED sleek headlamp units. The new Brezza also gets new dual-LED daytime running lamps that add a unique identity to the car.
The bumper design is also new and gets a more robust design with heavy cladding. Maruti Suzuki has also added a new silver faux skid plate and new foglamps. The Brezza looks very new from the side as well. Maruti Suzuki has added new dual-tone alloy wheels and roof rails.
One of the most highlighted feature addition to the new Brezza is the electric sunroof. 2022 Brezza becomes the first car to get a sunroof from the brand.
At the back, the tailgate design is also revised and has slim, horizontally placed tail-lamps with prominent Brezza badging in the centre just above the licence plate.
Inside, the new Brezza comes equipped with a dual-tone dashboard with a 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The car also gets an Arkamys sound system and features like wireless charging, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, 5.5-inch head-up display (HUD), cruise control, ambient lighting, voice commands, connected car features and a new 360-degree camera view system.
The Brezza is now powered by Maruti’s new 1.5-litre, K15C engine that made its debut on the Ertiga and XL6 facelifts. It produces 103hp and 137Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters that replaces the old 4-speed automatic is offered on the top three trims. Like its predecessor, the Brezza is a petrol-only SUV and is the only one in the segment to feature mild-hybrid tech. A Brezza CNG is also set to be introduced in the coming months.
Maruti Suzuki claims a maximum fuel efficiency of 20.15kpl for the manual versions, while the automatic versions return 19.80kpl.
Maruti Suzuki started accepting bookings for the all-new sub-4m compact SUV at a payment of Rs 11,000. Maruti Suzuki has received more than 45,000 bookings in 8 days.
