Kia has unveiled the facelifted Seltos, showing fresh design cues alongside modern tech inside the cabin. It might not seem like too long ago, but the Seltos is already three years old, having debuted in 2019.
Starting with the design, the overall silhouette may remain the same, but there are enough noticeable changes making it look sharper. Starting up front, there’s a new LED DRL setup which instead of wrapping around the upper portion of the retained Tiger Nose grille, now extends to the grille mesh. Aside from a new set of alloys, there’s a new, snazzier pair of LED tail lights that are now connected by a light bar. Some minor tweaks to the bumpers round off the styling touch ups.
Dimensions of the new Seltos will remain largely unchanged while the company could add some new exterior colours along with dual tone options as well. In the official images of 2022 Seltos, sunroof is not seen. It is likely to be on offer when launched in India. New Seltos is also expected to get a panoramic sunroof, unlike the single pane sunroof it comes with currently.
Inside, the Seltos gets a new digital cockpit comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen. The displays are now housed within the same panel, similar to the larger Sportage and other Kia models. The center console has new buttons for the climate controls and a new selector for the automatic gearbox, while the dashboard gets ambient lighting. We also expect more standard ADAS and improved connectivity.
Kia has yet to announce the engine range of the 2023 Seltos, but the powertrains will most likely be carried over from the existing model.
Kia is expected to launch the refreshed Seltos at the Auto Expo 2023 in January 2023.
