The Toyota Innova Crysta facelift will soon be unveiled internationally and will be the first major update to the popular MPV since its world premiere in 2016.
The Innova Crysta facelift is expected to be launched in Indonesia first and it is unlikely that there will be any major changes to the engine line-up. As far as India goes, Toyota only just updated the Innova Crysta’s engine line-up earlier this year to comply with the BS6 emissions norms The Innova Crysta in India is available with either a 2.4-litre diesel or a 2.7-litre petrol engine.

While the overall shape of the Innova Crysta remains the same, the updated MPV gets a slightly larger grille. There’s an all-new, more aggressive bumper that has a more complex design than its predecessor. It gets contrast black shade for the chin and the fog lamps are now vertically housed in a thick, triangular black surround.
While the size of the headlights remains the same, they now get chrome extensions that merge into the grille.
The 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta also gets a new alloy wheel design. There are no major changes expected at the back.

A key point to note here is that the model shown is most likely the Indonesian-spec car, sold there as the Kijang Innova, and the India-bound Innova Crysta could have minor styling tweaks and more chrome to suit local tastes.
