Here are the spy shots of the 2020 Mahindra Scorpio SUV and thanks to folks at MotorVikatan for getting the spy images. The new generation will be launched by April 2020, which is when the new emission BS6 norms are going to be implemented.
The heavily camoflauged test mules of the 2020 Scorpio shows new grille design and headlight cluster. The overall design remains similar to current Scorpio
Interiors will get a complete revamp starting of a new dashboard design with steering mounted controls, larger touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility. Other features on offer could include electric sunroof, rear AC vents, auto AC, more cabin space as well as comfort.
Mahindra has already started working on a new 2 liter diesel engine, which will power all their new generation of cars, from Thar to the XUV500. This new 2 liter engine will be on offer in various tunes from 120 hp to 180 hp.
It will be more fuel efficient and refined than any of the current Mahindra diesel engine. Transmission options on offer will be 6 speed MT as well as automatic.
Just like new age Mahindra cars like Marazzo and XUV300, the 2020 Scorpio is also being developed by Mahindra’s global team of engineers which are located in the US and in India. Pininfarina design inputs will be part of the 2020 Scorpio. Expect the SUV to debut at the 2020 Auto Expo next year.
