Kia Carens MPV scores 3-star Global NCAP safety rating

The Kia Carens has scored a 3-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection in the latest round of crash tests by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP). The India-spec Kia Carens MPV was tested in its most basic safety specification, fitted with two frontal airbags, two side-body airbags, and two side head protection airbags. ESC is also a standard fit in this spec. An average 3-star rating is, therefore, surprising. The Kia Carens were also side-impact tested and fulfilled the UN95 regulatory requirement. Ashok Leyland launches ecomet STAR 1115 CNG truck

Ashok Leyland has launched its ecomet Star 1115 CNG truck in 11.44 T GVW category. The truck is powered by an H series CNG turbocharged engine which produces 106kW (144HP) and 450 Nm torque. The company also offers multiple options of CNG cylinder capacity (360L to 480L) and load span (17ft, 20ft and 22ft). With this product, Ashok Leyland has strengthened its ICV CNG portfolio in the 11T CNG segment. Evtric Motors, a Pune-based EV company, has launched its first electric motorcycle Evtric Rise in the Indian market. The high-speed motorcycle, priced INR1,59,990 (ex-showroom), was launched at a dealers’ meet in Sikar, Rajasthan. 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 launched. Prices start at INR 1.27 lakh

Bajaj has launched next-gen version of Pulsar 160NS. Price starts from Rs 1.27 lakh, ex-sh, Delhi. In its new avatar, it has been rebranded as N160. The Pulsar N160 follows the Pulsar 250 twins launched last year and shares some of its DNA in terms of design and styling. The Pulsar N160 gets an aggressive design language with a dual-tone paint job. Split seats are offered and the rider seat is 795mm tall making it quite accessible.
