Mahindra has been testing the new four-door e2o for quite some time now and our team has managed to spy the test mule in Pune. The EV has been spied up-close revealing the exact design changes compared to the 2-door e20.
The styling of the e2o 4-door will be in-line with Mahindra’s mainstream products. The car gets Mahindra’s signature vertical grille which can be seen in the spy pic. The lamps wraparound the entire front fender. At the rear, the EV will get vertically stacked LED tail-lamp units and larger tailgate.
The car will get pillar mounted rear door handles are similar to the ones on the Mahindra KUV100.
The wheelbase has been extended which will liberate more interior room, and the rear doors which make entry and exit into the back a lot easier.
Powered by a 19 kW electric motor that produces 53.9 Nm of torque, the 2-door e2o has a range of 120 km per charge and a top speed of around 80 km/h. We expect Mahindra to give the car a bigger capacity motor with more power, torque, range and top speed. Mahindra may offer Quick2Charge technology in top-end variants.
The car expected to be launched during the festive season. Mahindra will also be exporting it to international markets.
