Eicher Polaris’ first offering for the Indian market, the Multix Personal Utility Vehicle (PUV), has been spotted testing in a new avatar. The Multix in a Pickup form was spotted recently by our spy photographers.
The Multix PUV is powered by a Greaves-sourced 510.7cc, single-cylinder, BS-III compliant, water-cooled, diesel engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine puts out 9.79 BHP @ 3,000 rpm and 27.1 Nm of torque @ 1,400-2,200 rpm. It has a ground clearance of 225 mm and an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 28.45 kmpl. The pickup variant is expected to retain the same engine of the Multix PUV.
Multix’s unique feature the X-PORT—which acts as a generator to give out up to three kilowatts of power to light homes, and power professional equipment such as drilling machines, DJ systems, water pumps is also seen on the test mule posted here.
